Blockbuster has announced last Friday that it will be opening five new stores, all located in Brighton, Michigan. Many people are questioning whether this odd move if just a publicity stunt. The owner of Blockbuster, Brock Buster, stated I just really like Brighton. I think it's a neat place
If this is the way the head of Blockbuster thinks, it is no wonder that they are on the verge of bankruptcy.
Blockbuster has also said they will open carrying new titles like Birdemic: Shock and Terror and Birdemic 2: The Resurrection which boast a total combined rating of 44% on Rotten Tomatoes. It is unclear whether or not Blockbuster stores will be carrying more than just these two movies.
